Hello Friends, welcome to tutorialhub. Today we are gonna learn, how to re-size your windows disk partitions.
As we know at any point of time, we run out disk partition space and we need to re-size disk partitions.
In this tutorial we will learn how to re-size the partitions. For doing so we will use a third party software called AOMEI partition assistant. I am gonna show you how we can get it and how to use it.
We can get it from disk-partiotion.com. This is the website homepage. Here you can read about the tool in detail like how you can manage partition, delete them and how to make them bootable. I guess pretty good info you can find here.
So as you can see here we have two options download freeware and or pro edition. We are gonna download the free edition.
In next page you will see the version and oprating system. Good thing is it also supports windows 10.Here click the download freeware and it will show you the download page. Here you can download it by clicking the download now. I am not gonna download it as i have already downloaded it.
As you can see i have downloaded the installation file to my desktop. Just double click the installer , now click to ok. Here you can read the licence agreement accept it and click next. Here you can define your directory where you want to install it and then click next. than select create a desktop icon, if you want to create a desktop icon, then next and install.
It will take some time to install.Ok now if you want to run this tool right now select run the program. You can also see the tutorial, I will not check it and then click finish.
So now you can see the window of partition assistant. Here you can see all your drive size information. You can also see all this info in upper area in detail. Also in left side we have several handy to use options.
Noe suppose if i am running out of space in my F drive and i want to merge it with my G drive. For doing so I just need to right click on that partition and select merge partition.
here we need to check the drive with which i wanna merge my F drive, Just check it and click ok.
So now you can see my G drive merged with my F drive. ok ! but these changes will not be reflect until i click the apply button, but here i wanna show something. In website page they claim you can re-size and merge partition without data lose but for a safer side, I would recommend, first take the backup so if anything goes wrong, you can recover your data again.
I am not gonna apply the changes as I already have enough space. Also if you want to learn more you should checkout these options in the left and also you can check the tutorial for more info.
