Welcome to Lesson 3 of our Agency Features series! In this video, we'll guide you through the process of billing your clients like a pro using WebStarts and Stripe. 🔥
If you're running a web design agency, it's important to be able to bill your clients for your services in a professional and efficient manner. In this blog post, we'll show you how to connect a Stripe account to your agency features in WebStarts, so you can start billing your clients for your web design services. 💼💻💰
Before you can connect a Stripe account, you must activate agency features in your WebStarts account. Once you have done this, you can follow the steps below to connect your Stripe account: 🔥
🔸 Step 1: When logged into your WebStarts account, click the drop-down in the top right and select "settings".
🔸 Step 2: Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and locate the section labeled billing settings.
🔸 Step 3: Click the "Connect Now" button.
🔸 Step 4: This will open up the Stripe website where you can either log in to your existing Stripe account or create one. 💳💻
Stripe enables you to accept credit card payments, ACH, and other payment types from your website. If you're creating a new Stripe account, you'll need to provide your banking information so they know where to make deposits. 💸🏦
Once you've connected your Stripe account, you'll be able to manage billing for your clients. To do this, follow these steps: 🔥
🔸 Step 1: Click on the drop-down menu in the top right and select Clients. From there, you can enter your client information.
🔸 Step 2: Before you can begin billing your clients, you'll need to create products. You can create one-time and recurring products. 💼🔄
For example, you can create a product called "hourly web design" and assign that an hourly rate. Then you can have another product called "monthly hosting fees" and assign that a recurring monthly rate. Both one-time and recurring charges can be added to any invoice.
🔸 Step 3: To create an invoice, select the invoice tab. Next, select the client and website you'd like the invoice to be associated with.
🔸 Step 4: Add the products you want to the invoice. For example, select your hourly rate and enter a quantity. Then add your recurring hosting fees, which will be generated each month automatically.
🔸 Step 5: Once you've added all the products, click the "send invoice" button to send the invoice to your client. 💼📧
You can view the invoice under the invoices tab, where you can download it as a PDF, resend it, pay it, void it, or see if it's paid or past due. You can also see what the invoice looks like to your client by clicking the invoice number.
By connecting a Stripe account to your agency features in WebStarts, you can easily manage billing for your web design clients.
