A 3D Model of a hypothetical dynamic shape room. Such environment might be utilised for developing fully immersive training simulations. It might consist of a grid of hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders, VR headset, haptic feedback suit, wind simulation & smell dispensers.

The advantage of such room, compared to solely using haptic feedback suits, with other extras, would be the enhanced ability to interact with surfaces like walls, floors & other. In combination with haptic feedback, such room would allow the highest possible immersion levels for users.

A potential usage might be for military CQC training programmes, which could be enhanced by a DSE though recreation of various indoor quarters, in order to approximate real life combat scenarios.

The main limitations of such a device would be overall cost, present lack of health and safety evaluation, and immersion decrease when walking to the boundary & having to wait for physical re-rendering.
