Virtual Health Assistants-Kaushik Roy
In recent years, advancements in AI and natural language processing have paved the way for virtual assistants that can support and guide individuals with mental health concerns. This session explores the use of online verified mental health resources for building ChatGPT-like virtual health assistants (VHAs). The topics include discussions on the importance of safety and ethical considerations when developing AI-based VHAs. Finally, the session demonstrates several past and contemporary AI-based VHAs, and ends with the demonstration of ALLEVIATE-MH - a VHA built at the AIISC for mental health assistance.
