Written in December 2021. Fortunately for me, music is so reaching in its ability to express so much at so many levels. While the song is about unfulfillment, it's paradoxically fulfilling to be able to use music's dimension to express inner reality so satisfyingly (except for my voice, which I'm never happy with!) that it brings a relief in and of itself; a kind of "I know I've said it in the best way I possibly can." I can see myself re-recording this at some point, perhaps with a guitar solo and new vocals (of course!) Perhaps Adele wouldn't mind having a go! Anyone got her number?!
