Shower gels should be free of harmful substances or allergens and should nourish and protect the skin. But how well do they do this? Kassensturz had 14 shower gels tested in the laboratory. The results are worrying: Most products contain fragrances that can trigger allergies or substances that weaken the skin's protective function. However, the top-ranked product in the test is among the cheapest.
