Science on Google+ co-hosted a Hangout on Air with Autism Brainstorm to discuss a recent EEG study examining Asperger's syndrome and autism.
Neuropsychologist Dr. Alisa G Woods (Research Assistant Professor for Proteomics and Biochemistry at Clarkson University) will lead a discussion on "Changes to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders, brain differences and exploring Asperger's as a possible subtype." She's joined by Ethan Miller (Operations Manager at Language and Cognitive Development Centre); John Elder Robison (NeuroDiversity Scholar at the College of William & Mary, he's been a public reviewer for the National Institute of Mental Health and is living with Autism); Kathleen Tehrani (CEO Autism Brainstorm); Professor Stephen Shore (Special Education, Adelphi University, and is on the Autism spectrum). Representing Science on Google+ is Psychologist Dr Chris Robinson and Science Moderator Liz Krane.
