ROBOT ASSAULT - Radio Check (Official Music Video)
"Radio Check'' is the first official single from the EP called "Headquarters" released by Robot Assault in June 2022. The song features Ranking Jr. on vocals, Jeep MacNichol on drums, and Al Laughlin on marimba and gamelan bells. The sound reflects a juxtaposition between 80's style Dancehall Reggae (similar to General Trees) and a speed metal style single kick blast beat at 188bpm. The drum footage was shot by Kenny 5 in Lake Worth Florida at Robot Majic Film studio. The Carnival footage was shot by Jeep Macnichol at the Notting Hill Carnival in London. The whole concept was inspired by the album cover for "Live And Direct" by Aswad who recorded their performance at the Notting Hill Gate Carnival in 1983. The video is directed by Kenny 5 at Majic Robot Films.
