VidPlayMTC is primarily intended for syncing video playback to a master feed of MIDI Time Code data. However, it is also compatible with the very old (25 years) MIDI Clock Sync technology. VidPlayMTC will sync correctly to MIDI Clock provided there are NO TEMPO CHANGES in the DAW project.
VidPlayMTC will sync correctly to MIDI Clock from Ableton Live at FIXED TEMPO. If you have tempo changes in your project you will need to extend Live to support MIDI Time Code output (see LiveMTC, https://www.showsync.com/tools).
