PacketLight - PIT Chile Success Story
Watch how PacketLight’s PL-2000T 800G 1U transponder with integrated EDFA and optical switch was deployed to build a high capacity protected link for PIT Chile. PIT is an IXP (Internet eXchange Point) with 9 PoPs in Santiago interconnecting approximately 200 networks in 12 countries, and is 4th in the world in the amount of traffic carried. PIT's clients include CDNs, ISPs, cloud service providers, retail and banks.
PIT needed to build a high capacity 200G DCI link independently, due to COVID-19 and social distancing limitations. PIT Chile’s team completed the installation themselves quickly and easily, with remote support from PacketLight’s team.
