The initial checkout of a General Electric 5,000 BTU Carry Cool air conditioner model AT905LSL1 from 1983. The majority of GE's air conditioner lineup contained a lot of obscure design choices and were often quite difficult to service. This one is definitely towards the top of the list in obscurity. The intention was to make the unit as portable as possible, easy to carry from room to room to use in different areas. I can't imagine a lot of people really used it that way, but it definitely is one of the lighter units of the era and certain is much easier to carry.
