Case Study: Water Management in Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka
Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) in Yelahanka revived 4 huge open wells and created a wetland around them. The surface runoff from the campus is directed into the wetland and this feeds the wells. RWF also dug 7 other wells for water supply as well as to counter a seepage problem. Currently, all the water required for cooling purposes in the factory is met by the wells.
