NEWBORN SESSIONS
Welcome to Pink Owl Studios! I have a slight obsession with fresh babies – from their tiny toes to their perfect eyelashes, I just cannot get enough. The first few days of your baby’s life are so special and fleeting, I would be honored to be a part of it.
I want to capture all those details that make up your perfect newborn. Each eyelash. Those sweet little lips. Ten perfect fingers and ten perfect toes. I prefer to focus on the simple beauty of your newborn with minimal use of props and I provide everything for the session.
LOCATION
All newborn sessions take place at my studio located 20 minutes outside Houston, Texas at 1800 S Mason Rd #250, Katy Texas. Parents have a cozy spot to sit, grab a refreshment and just relax during the session. All in all, it’s a great place to come for your newborn photo session! All Studio newborn sessions take place Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 10:00 am unless otherwise noted.
WHEN TO BOOK
I prefer to shoot fairly soon after your baby’s birth, so we can capture that newborn stage while your baby is so still teeny tiny (and sleepy!) The best time for your newborn session is when babe is just 5-14 days new. Get in touch with me ASAP & let me know your due date. I book tentative dates on the calendar by due date – and once baby arrives, we’ll lock in your photo shoot date. If your baby has already been born, I will try my best to squeeze you in before you’re little one is 14 days old.
POSING
Posing is one of the most critical aspects of newborn photography. Your precious baby’s comfort and security are first and foremost. I have learned and continue to learn from some of the best in the business and take pride in being a professional newborn photographer. As a mom of four, I am also comfortable handling your precious baby. I usually block out 2-3 hours for full newborn sessions, and we can take as many breaks as needed for feedings & diaper changes.
SIBLINGS
Siblings are more than welcome to be a part of the shoot for full newborn sessions. I do all sibling and family poses at the end of the session. It is definitely helpful to have an extra set of hands available to care for siblings, so if you have a friend or grandparent around it would be nice to have them bring the sibling towards the end of the session.
PROPS
I have everything in my studio to provide you with a great experience for your baby’s first professional photo shoot! My studio is stocked with all of the props, hats, headbands and outfits that we need. (Please note – all items are cleaned in between sessions). After you book your shoot, I will send you some more details & info about the styles and colors of wraps and props I have available.
DIGITALS
Every collection include digital images with released printing rights. This means that you will be able to print and share your images wherever you’d like. Your images will be delivered via digital download. If you’d like to receive a USB drive with custom case, you can purchase that at an additional cost.
PRODUCTS
Your images are NOT meant to stay stuck on your computer forever! I truly believe that having tangible products is SO important. While there is no minimum order requirement or obligation to purchase product, we offer heirloom quality prints and products to preserve your families memories and pass down generations. HOW TO BOOK
Ready to book your session with me? Get in touch first to make sure we can work out a date that works (I usually book 2-3 months in advance). Then I’ll just ask for a $150 retainer fee to reserve your session date. I’ll send a link to fill out your information, as well as go over all studio policies. At the end you will be redirected and invoiced via Paypal. It’s super simple. The retainer is nonrefundable, but it is transferable in case we need to reschedule.
