Hey everyone! I hope y’all are doing well!! I wanted to wish everyone a happy belated Juneteenth, and wonderful rest of your month!
The first thing I want to say, is that I was actually sick this week, and currently still am. I do not have COVID-19, don’t worry! I’m fully vaccinated, plus the two weeks, AND I got tested on Monday just in case, and I am negative. It’s just a bad cold, so please understand that I look kinda gross in the video as I was trying to hold in coughs and sneezes several times.
The second thing I wanted to say, is that next Wednesday, I will not be uploading a video. For several reasons. This is the first week of summer vacation for me, and while I don’t usually like taking breaks, I think I want to cut myself some slack. I will also be attending an Orchestra camp (As I play both piano and violin) and that will take up most of my time. In addition, I won’t be able to record a video because I will be going up to Main, to meet with some fully-vaccinated family friends, after a very long time apart, so I hope everyone understands!!
Finally, my editor and I won’t be doing many more lyric videos. I will do my best to understand how exactly the YouTube subtitles work, so my music can be equitable for everyone. I’d also like to mention, that this song, is inspired by Pride, as it is Pride month. Furthermore, I struggle a bit to write songs about current world problems, but I did my best, so I hope everyone enjoyed! I am a straight ally, but I have several friends who are LGBTQ+ and I did my best to understand things from their point of view.
Thank you all so much for the support you’ve shown me so far! I understand I am not the best singer/songwriter, but I will continue to grow through your feedback, and constructive criticism!
