Thrombus in RA lead
This video will show you an ICD related thrombus formation around the lead located in the right atrium.
It is our job as sonographers to present to the best of our abilities the leads/wires of ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) or Pacemaker using echocardiogram. Always check for thrombus or vegetations around it as these are common complications of implantable devices.
Views are combined of transthoracic and transesophageal views.
