Please note this is still one of our first prototype guns, not all parts have been refined and not all performance coatings have been added yet.
The purpose of the test was to demonstrate the feeding and firing reliability of the Raven.
On a semi automatic firearm there are 3 separate groups which can cause a malfunction.
1) The firearm itself
2) The Magazine
3) The ammunition
We recommend always purchasing quality ammunition from a reliable source. Use a reliable magazine, and use a Raven ;)
Ammunition used in the testing:
During our test today we mostly used Blazer 115gr FMJ and Blazer 124gr FMJ.
Both Brass and Aluminum cased ammunition was used.
Many pistol caliber carbines do not feed well! The faster we forced the Raven to cycle, the greater the chance of failures.
During our entire test, we had a single magazine failure. The magazine was removed, the round continued into the chamber, magazine was reinserted and we were able to keep firing. As you can see, The Raven works this amazingly in its raw form! Get ready for the performance that's coming!
This rifle has fired over 2500 rounds sequentially without any cleaning or without ANY oil or grease.
During the take down portion of the video, the bolt was hung up for a second, the bolt was removed, replaced and continued to fire without skipping a beat.
Other notes:
We highly recommend using our Lockhart Tactical magazines, as they work amazingly.
OEM glock magazines work amazingly.
ETS Magazines work great as well
MAGPUL branded glock style magazines have constant failure to feed issues. This is a well known problem in the firearm community.
