I'm sure many of you are quite familiar with the legendary American LaFrance CTC - Heil Formula 7000 combo that myself and a few others had the pleasure of documenting a few years back in the City of Granger, WA. Well today, I'm proud to introduce you all to Granger's most recently purchased garbage truck, this Heil Formula 7000 "Curve Shell" paired up with a Peterbilt Model 310 cab and chassis! Affectionately known as "The Brown Truck", this truck began its life at Consolidate Disposal Service in Ephrata, WA and still bears their iconic paint scheme. @westcoastrefusetrucks and I initially stumbled across this truck in the nearby city of Grandview clear back in 2016, parked in the back corner of the city's Public Works yard, figuring our odds of ever seeing it running a route were extremely slim. Fast forward a few years, and the truck ended up being purchased by the City of Granger, and now collects residential and commercial garbage in the city on a regular basis, along side a pair of Formula 7000 "Square Bodies". @westcoastrefusetrucks @3amrepmike3 @garbagekid1 and myself were fortunate enough to be able to coordinate some time to be able to finally go check this thing out in action this past week, and I can assure you that an ample amount of photos and videos of this truck were captured! Between the low rumbly growl, the eye-catching paint scheme, and the variety of cool carts being collected, this was truly a treat to film!
I'd like to give a huge shout out to the friendly folks over at the City of Granger Public Works Dept. for once again welcoming us to come check out their awesome trucks! And I'd also like to throw a huge thanks to @westcoastrefusetrucks for doing the legwork to get this visit all setup! I hope you guys enjoy watching this working classic as much as we did!
