Workaround for the the greyed out option "Log out (ship in landing area)":
The solution is to land at the landing pad and take some service (refuel or repair). The problem is caused by a docking port - either when you dock the ship or when you spawn it at the docking port.
This may affect any dockble ship (Hull C, Origin 890j, Hammerhead, etc).
