dbx ZonePRO Universal IP & RS232 Control4 Driver Setup
This video details how to properly configure the HouseLogix dbx ZonePRO Universal IP and Serial Control4 driver.
1. Drag driver into project and enter the IP Address of the device in the networking tab if using the network side of the driver or bind up the serial connection if using the serial side.
2. Driver will come online. Enter the node address, adjust the volume increment if desired, and enter a license key.
3. Now enter the addresses for outputs and select the number of inputs.In the ZonePro Designer Software, use keyboard shortcut ctrl + shift + o on the RTE block off the outputs. This will cause a pop up to appear with information about that block. The information under b0,b1,b2,b4 is required to be entered in the properties tab under the desired output.
For example, if CH 1 has an object id of
b0 - 20
b1 - 0
b2 - 5
b3 - 1
you would enter 20,0,5,1 in the properties tab for output 1.
If a stereo channel is being used, such as combining channel 1 and 2, you can either put channel 1's address in both output 1 and 2 or you can just use channel 1. Either is acceptable and will work.
4. In connections tab, connect inputs, outputs, and room selection.
i.e. Phone - input 1
Speakers - output 1
Room Selection Channel 1 SELECTION - Bedroom
Room Selection Channel 1 VOLUME - Bedroom
5. Refresh navigators and device is ready to be used.
