HappyCabbie commentary fail
So here is a backstory on this one. For some reason this kid took my video announcing yesterday's BlogTV broadcast where I spent over 12 hours taking live skype calls answering questions and responding to criticism and uploaded it to a few of his accounts.
Now he did not chose to upload video from the actual BlogTV event, and I do not recognize his voice so I do not believe he bothered to call in. Rather he just wanted to upload my video announcing a BlogTV event that is now over. He then added to the video description that I privated the video because I was butt hurt. No I privated the video because the BlogTV event is over.
He then posted a video on BlipTV because he fears that I would flag it down if it were on YouTube. Well his video mocking me is clearly fair use so there is really nothing I can do even if I wanted to. However when it comes to him taking entire videos of mine and posting them to his channel, that of course is a copyright violation. However I do not plan to persue any copyright infringements on this kid.
I just thought I would return the favor by taking one of his videos and putting it on my channel. After all, if he can take my videos then he should have no problem with me taking his.
However as an added bonus I will not be linking to his channel and I will actually be moderating the comments here to prevent him from promoting himself.
Let me make this perfectly clear, I support fair use. While nobody enjoys having their videos cut up and criticised, it is protected under copyright law and the YouTube TOS.
Now to address the points you made in your video kid. First of all the reason I did not place a link to Ustream in the video description is because this event was on BlogTV and the link was in the video description.
Had you actually taken the time to show up to that BlogTV event you may have actually seen Megan herself chat with me twice on video when she was added as a co-host. We were civil towards each other.
Finally, you claim that I was not able to handle criticism, I honestly have nothing to say to that other than I spent over 12 hours on BlogTV allowing anyone to call in via skype and address their concerns.
