The History of Plastic
Between 1950 and 2015 8.3 billion tons of plastics have been produced worldwide – but only 9% of that total has been recycled so far. When it is not recycled, it ends up in landfill, incineration plants or in nature. In order to change our behaviour, we first must understand when and where plastic is used.
