So here we are... I've been doing this hobby for a whole decade now.
10 years of putting music over anime clips xD
Here'a a compilation of bits of my editing over the years. starting from the first year to the current year.
At first I wanted to use a more epic sounding instrumental song but it just didn't feel right for my channel the editing style I have.
So now I'm gonna put some bits of information and "fun facts" from each year below if you want to read that ;)
~ENJOY~

2009:
Well I started off with Window Movie Maker on MyVideo.de for whose who still remembers those haha
I had my clips from episodes uploaded to youtube. That's why the quality was shit and you can also see subtitles here and there. I still used a lot of still images as well or rather started off completely with slideshows but I didn't wanna include that - oh and NARUTO edits only lmao

2010:
I got my hands on Sony Vegas 9 and guess what? I'm still using it today! xD
I started to download better quality episodes. I watched Durarara and LOVED IT. Also... what are effects and texts? Fun fact: a lot of the texts I used to put in were from Photoshop and not SV lmao. I started doing MEP parts! I also watched Fairy Tail - loved NaLu and auditioned for Flames & Keys Studio and even got it! I was so super excited!! For editing... I started masking but only with stil images.

2011:
At the end of 2010 actually I opened up my very own MEP group "Radiant Night Production" with some friends. We had fun but it didn't last long because being a Leader was honestly too much for me to handle. So most of my projects originated form there. I think my timing got better during this time and this is the year I tried out Manga editing and got into the group called "Manga Pawns" where you got put into teams to "battle" against the others in manga editing games! This was pretty neat but also unfortunately didn't last for too long.

2012:
I joned the "The NaruHina Group" (or maybe it was 2011? idk) I finally stopped putting my dumb username in the corner of my vids. I started to get a bigger audience and got invited to participate in MEPs etc. With the video "BE YOURSELF" I had some kind breakthrough I think. I even submitted the video to the DoKomi AMV Contest and got a first place in the Fun category! I submitted the video as audition for Simply Mad Studios as well and they accepted me! I was so super happy and this studio was and still is my favorite at heart ♥
ps: I decided the cookie cutter effect was my thing, especially the circle and I'm still overusing it to this day! XD + I started to get more creative with my typography!

2013:
The year I finally started to completely use different animes and footage for every project. Also TV Simulator is a cool tool that I finally understood how to use. I actually tried to use moved masking more but geez I still dislike it because it's such a tiresome and boring thing to do - but it looks cool I guess

2014:
I got more creative with my edits and my flow became better. You can see my first attempts with manga "animation". This is also the year that Simply Mad Studios closed and I became part of TheSonyVegasPros and I'm still part of that group today :)

2015:
I did less and less longer videos and more MEP parts instead. I tried more Manga editing and became better at doing animations. Most of my parts which I also was quite proud of were for SVP during that time.

2016:
The year I started to do some less colorful edits and going for a more "rawish" style instead. Also too many overlays... Oh yeah Osomatsu-san aired and I got stuck into "Matsu hell" for quite some time xD

2017:
The Overlay disaster got worse but otherwise some neat stuff got created that year I think. This was also the last year I took part in the DoKomi AMV Contest... I got a lot of backlash for winning in the competition and everything felt awful for a while. I really struggled more than before to finish any kind of edit I made so it hurt even more that people told me that I wasn't even trying. I'm glad this was the only time I had to deal with so much negativity regarding this hobby though.

2018:
Back to the roots. COLORS & Cookie Cutter! hahaha
I was more busy with school & work so I had less time for editing.

2019:
The year I graduated from my apprenticeship so I barely edited at all this year. I still like the hobby and I don't think I'll quit completely anytime soon but I don't think I ever will get as active as the years before either.

This is everything I could think of to say. I probably forgot a lot of things and I couldn't put in a lot of the edits I made because of the song. So it was very difficult to choose videos/scenes carefuly. If you got more questions feel free to write a comment below ♥

ps: this was horrible to render so sorry for the quality loss!
