The New BRICS Currency
The expansion of BRICS and the adoption of a new common currency is on the agenda for the next BRICS Summit slated in the second half of August in South Africa. However, India has clarified that the latter is not a move towards de-dollarisation but an attempt to ease trade with other nations in local currencies.
