Flathead State Park Overview | Parks of Montana
What Montana state park has the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, smelly trees, and an island with wild running horses? Originally called Salish Lake after the Salish tribe which made the lands around the lake home, Flathead Lake is located in northwest Montana and contains not one but six Montana State Parks. This video was created to build excitement for young learners as they embark on a study, field trip, or virual visit to Flathead Lake State Park.
