LFS 7.4 - 3.1 Introduction (video 5)
Helpful Hint:
A couple of months after making this video I tried to download all these packages again. I got an error with "shadow-4.1.5.tar.bz2" when checking the downloaded files. If (more likely when) this happens you, you have to google around and find the file at a different site and down load it manually.
The site "pkg-shadow.alioth.debian.org/releases/shadow-4.1.5.1.tar.bz2" does not seem to exits any more or does not work for some reason. This will happen from time to time.
But, this site seems to have the correct file to down load.
"www.filewatcher.com/m/shadow-4.1.5.1.tar.bz2.2193325-0.html"
So I downloaded,
"2013-08-29 ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/.2/lfs/lfs-packages/7.4/shadow-4.1.5.1.tar.bz2".
Another site that seems to have the correct file is
"ftp.cross-lfs.org/pub/lfs/lfs-packages/7.4/"
Hope this is helpful, leave a comment if there is a better alternative.
I found these sites by Googling "shadow-4.1.5", "lfs-packages" and other similar things probably.
