Heavy Seas Beer Debuts Unique Monocacy River Hop
Halethorpe, Maryland-based Heavy Seas Brewing just released Altimore, the first known craft beer that uses hops grown in Maryland. The hops come from along the Monocacy River near Frederick. The University of Maryland Extension partnered with Heavy Seas to make it a reality. Jennifer Gladstone reports for Chesapeake Bay Magazine's Bay Bulletin.
