We recently visited Shravasti in Uttar Pradesh, We stayed there for 2 days and explored the destination.
You might have heard about the dacoit Anglumal in school times. Anglumial was from Shravasti. He transformed to Saint post meeting Mahatma Buddha.
Shravasti is also known as Sahet Mahet.
Jetvan Monastery , Mahet/Pakki Kuti, Daen Mahamongkol Temple, Shobhnath Temple and Vipassana Meditation Centre are the key places of interest in Shravasti.
By road, Shravasti is well connected with Ayodhya and Lucknow.
Airport in Shravasti in going to be operational soon.
