Solo Atheon GUIDE (Mechanics Focused) 2026
This video is slightly out of date. The strategy for Renegades is a bit altered and there is now an alternative strategy using New Malpais and the crouching tech to complete mechanics. The finisher/positioning is also somewhat different because the physics of the relic were slightly altered in Renegades; it is now not recommended to drop the relic after you jump and instead to keep holding it as you jump and swing forward. The damage strategy (while not specifically covered here in detail) is also vastly different on Warlock given that Atheon was altered in Renegades to take bonus damage from weapons instead of grenades. The general structure and order of mechanics is unchanged, but I recommend watching a more recent clear and comparing what you see there to what is discussed in the video. I will leave this guide alone for archival purposes as it is not entirely outdated, and the way you use Verglas during the mechancis portion is unchanged.
A video long overdue at this point given the excitement around solo Vault of Glass this season. This is a mechanics-focused breakdown of how to solo the Atheon raid boss in Destiny 2 that I tried to include as much knowledge as possible in. Most likely not to change unless significant tech advancement happens that can remove the RNG from this encounter entirely, but that remains to be seen. Timestamps for sections are below as well as loadouts (if I didn't acknowledge a weapon's perks they don't matter. Shotgun has One-Two Punch).
