Remove Noise from EEG using Wavelet Transform
This example demonstrates a wavelet based noise removal algorithm, use Wavelet Denoise slider to turn it on and off (on by default). When Discrete Wavelet Transform (on by default) turned off, undecimated wavelet transform is used. Levels (default=5) specifies the number of levels in the discrete wavelet analysis. As per other examples, click Play or scroll through the file and observe the change within different frequency bands. This is 16 channel data, use Channel Number to select a specific channel (0-7 and 8-15 are left and right hemisphere EEG). Window Size allows to zoom in and out, 10 second window is default. Whole Spectrum adds an overlay of the non-filtered spectrum.
