SEIKO SPB143: Homage to the 62MAS Provides an Updated Dive Watch
Review of the SEIKO SPB 143; this is the JDM version, but it is identical. Seiko pushed up market and really nailed it with this homage to the OG dive watch released in 1965 (the 62MAS). Screw down crown, 120 clicks on the bezel, good bracelet, sapphire crystal, 200m WR, date window; just a great daily driver go anywhere do anything watch. Size comparison provided against other sizes (Seiko 5 38mm, Oris Aquis 39.5mm, Tag Aquaracer 41mm, Seiko 5 42mm). oops! I said the Oris is powered by the Caliber 400... it is acutally the 733 based on the Sellita caliber SW200-1.
