Cafe #9 Sheffield - Daria Kulesh - The Moon and the Pilot (sample) - 3-4-24
Daria performing her personal and emotive song, "The Moon and the Pilot", as described by Kulesh, "It's the story of a family and a nation banished from their homeland - Ingushetia - under the orders of Stalin", but she linked to the experiences of her family. This is the background to her Great-Grandmother who fell in love with a Russian pilot during this time.
