The Schuster Annexe at the University of Manchester is a 2500 m2 extension connected to the existing Schuster Building (built in 1967) with a metal bridge completed in 2017 at the value of £7.9 million.

The Schuster Building's history includes the ‘supermaterial’ graphene being first isolated in its laboratories in 2004 by Professors Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov.

By extending the building as part of the university’s £1 billion Campus Masterplan, rather than build a new facility, it allows students and academics from across the departments to collaborate under one roof making the university a world leader in STEM technology.
