Is Alastor Aroace in Hazbin Hotel?

For many years it’s been well known in the fandom that alastor is aro ace. However in recent weeks there’s been discussion on this topic. So lets get to the bottom of it.
In the show rosie specifically says that alastor is an ace in the hole, which is a fun way of her saying he’s asexual.
So he’s canonically asexual, so is he aromantic? Well this is where things get a little confusing.
Alastor’s voice actor amir said he was aroace during a panel, but corrected himself on twitter later saying he misspoke and that him being aromantic is not explicitly known.
To make matters worse, alastor was confirmed to be aroace back in 2020 by an ex employee called faustisse while she was working on the alastor prequel comic. She said that viv was scared to announce it as canon due to the rampant toxic shippers within the fandom. Her point was proven when she was harassed and received heavy blacklash for announcing alastor as aroace.
Faust no longer works at spindle and vivzie liked a tweet saying to not take her statements as canon, so we can’t really use it as 100% confirmation.
So in conclusion alastor is confirmed as asexual, however it might be revealed that he’s aromantic later in the series.
