Where do I begin.
I started this journey in October of last year. I got pretty fast progress for the difficulty of this level, but ultimately I couldn’t do it. I fluked from around 68 to 90, being the worst mobile fail at the time. I tried to beat it, racking up even more horrible fails, like 83 x4, and 82 x2. In the end, I couldn’t do it. Hell Ball Finale took my interest, and that was it for Cold Sweat. (I played Cold Sweat for about 2 and a half weeks at this time)
But then I decided to do the unthinkable, and beat Paraballa. A top 2 challenge being beaten on mobile was just unheard of, and yet I still did it. Though the difficulty opinions of it being the hardest mobile achievement were very widespread, with some thinking that challenges don’t take skill. This demotivated me a lot, but I pushed through. I wanted to try and beat the ENTIRE mobile challenge list, (I got 45/50 done), but wasn’t able to due to D and Sakupen circles 66 p (and action).
Then I tried to rebeat things with taps. Since the new challenge list guidelines required mobile players to beat things with taps, I thought that I would at least try to get used to it, so I rebeat Balaball, Impertinencer, and Kinda Hard Challenge with relative ease. I then moved on to the harder challenges, like UBER Cooling Unit, Hell Ball III, and more. I tried to rebeat Paraballa with taps (68 x2) but it was too hard for me.
Then I decided to try and finish Cold Sweat. I did the wave with not too much difficulty, so I tried going from 0. I got 33 in around 200 attempts, which was absolutely insane as it usually took hundreds of attempts to even get past 20.
(When I first tried to beat Cold Sweat, I unintentionally made it harder for myself. By manually pausing and resetting instead of just turning off auto-retry, you shift the frames. This shift of frames makes certain timings so much more difficult than they need to be. For example, the timings at 5, 14, 22, and 25 were all turned into frame perfects, when in reality they were all 2 frames or even buffers)
In the span of 5 days, I beat Cold Sweat. I got very lucky with this, as my worst fails were only 71 x2 (which is DESERVED because of the horrible luck I had in Paraballa and the first time I tried to beat Cold Sweat). I’m so unbelievably glad that I fluked from 71.
Thank you so much to SeaWolfMikes for keeping this level in my conscious and making progress on this in the first place. I definitely wouldn’t have tried to do this if it weren’t for you.
As for a difficulty opinion, yes, this is easier than Paraballa and Hell Ball Finale. My opinion on Hell Ball Finale is a little scuffed, so it might be around the same difficulty or a little easier, however my opinion with Paraballa is set in stone.
Attempts: 21,766 total (~16k old)
Enjoyment: 8/10 (probably the best it can get for a demon)
Placement on LRR/Mobile List: 2
My opinion: 🤷🏿
the cring curse is over
