"The One" by The Chainsmokers - Not a cover
I didn't cover "The One" by the Chainsmokers". This is not a cover of that song :P I broke my trusty old hi hats while recording this video. Watch to the end for a bonus clip of that happening :/
All instruments, vocals, and sounds performed by Phil J (except the car keys which are performed by Jess :P). This song is not the same as "The One" by the chainsmokers. Here are the major differences:
This song has no singing or lyrics - while singing and lyrics are the main focus in the Chainsmokers song.
This song uses real drums recorded live - the Chainsmokers song does not
This song uses completely different instrument and instrumentations than the Chainsmokers song.
This song uses it's own unique and original melodic lines which are completely different from the Chainsmokers song.
Sony has tried to claim this work as their own. I have disputed it.
