Installing an RP2040 modchip in a Nintendo Switch Lite opens the door to custom firmware and homebrew gaming. In this video we perform the installation step by step. We show how to disassemble the Switch Lite, access the motherboard and solder the RP2040 board’s wires to the correct points. Because the Switch Lite has a smaller form factor than the standard Switch, careful soldering is crucial. We also cover flashing firmware, testing the modchip and reassembling the console. Required tools include precision screwdrivers, soldering iron with fine tip, flux and Kapton tape. After installation we boot into custom firmware to verify success. Use this guide responsibly and only on consoles you own.
