Complete machining of paintball marker grip frame (Automag N-Mag frame)
Here's some machining for Nummech's "N-Mag" single trigger grip frames. The entire process is shown in this video, except for the initial bandsaw operation for the material blanks, and some of the final cleanup done by hand prior to anodizing. What you see is what you get!
Notes for machining nerds:
Footage was captured using a GoPro Hero4 mounted inside Hirudin's CRACE coolant-resistant case, attached inside the machine using an anti-vibration knuckle.
When filming, I modified the tools and processes to run mostly without coolant. While it's true the coolant-wicking case makes it easy to see with coolant, I still prefer to film dry to enable a better view.
All three operations are filmed within the same machine (VF2SS). Normally the operations are spread across two machines which are better suited to the particular operation (and also allows the batch to be completed quicker), but I chose to perform all the machining for this batch in the same one because lighting is much better and there's more space for cameras.
