My Real Creative Workflow: From Ideation to Visual Creation with Adobe Firefly
I recently partnered with Adobe to share part of my real creative workflow—how I used Adobe Firefly to plan and finish a short film I shot during a one-day trip from Utah to Las Vegas. This was a fast, chaotic international car race trip, and with barely any time to film, I needed intention at every step.
Before I left, I used Adobe Firefly—specifically Firefly Boards—to plan out my story through ideation, mood references, and visual creation. It helped me storyboard the emotional beats so I wasn’t filming randomly. That intention moved the whole project from concept to creation.
Once I got to Vegas, I focused on capturing the moments that matched the story. And when I edited everything inside Adobe Premiere Pro, I used Firefly again—tools like prompt to edit and generated visual ideas—to help fill the gaps I didn’t have time to shoot. Not to replace my footage, but to support the pacing and emotional flow.
As a one-person creator, this blend of real filmmaking and thoughtful AI editing tools helped me stay true to the story I wanted to tell.
