In this tutorial we'll use the features:
Creation and Cuts
Thin Extrude (Thin Feature): This option, found within the standard Extrude command, is used to create a thin-walled solid from an open sketch profile (a line or a curve). Instead of creating a solid block, it generates a sheet-like feature with a specified thickness, making it ideal for features like ribs or fins.
Hole: This is a specialized tool for creating different types of cylindrical cuts in a part. It offers a streamlined interface for defining industry-standard holes, including simple, clearance, countersunk, and tapped (threaded) holes. It's faster and more accurate than using a simple extruded cut.
Edge Refinement
Fillet: This command creates a smooth, rounded edge on a part by adding or removing material. You specify a radius for the rounded edge, and it is used for aesthetics and to reduce stress concentrations on sharp corners.
