UAE's new Dh100 note connects future, past with Etihad Rail, historic fort design
UAE's recently issued new Dh100 banknote features images and colors that connect the country’s past with its present, including major landmarks. These symbols hold both cultural and historical significance, alongside their monetary value.
Photojournalist Youssef Al Qais noted that the Dh100 bill reflects this balance.
“On one side, you see Umm Al Quwain Fort, a structure that highlights the UAE’s history.
“As we explore further, flipping the note over reveals a different focus.
On the reverse side, there's Fujairah Port, a key economic site, alongside Etihad Rail, a transportation project linking the Emirates and the Gulf. This highlights development and connectivity,” he explained
