Let's be honest. Most people don't like to spend hours on hours at a car dealership (unless you really really love cars).

And car shopping always seems to be such a lengthy process. Although by being prepared, you are able to really speed things up when it comes to all the paperwork involved.

So what should you bring when visiting a dealership?

To start, a form of identification and a valid drivers license is best
-- you'll want to test drive the vehicle after all, won't you?

Don't forget your proof of insurance to protect your new ride when driving away. (Or I can help you set up a policy at the store too.)

Also, if you intend to finance, it's a good idea to bring with docs for proof of income (paystub/bank deposits/tax returns) and proof of residence (cell phone or utility bill in your name).

For those of you with trade-ins, your registration and title. Or if you still have payments, you'll have to provide who your lender is and the exact 10-day payoff amount.

Besides those things, that's it -- that's all folks!
