Welcome to Barts Gaming Corner!
For almost a decade now the Isometric RPG genre is in the middle of somewhat of a renaissance. Or somewhat? Probably a big renaissance. And the fun won’t end anytime soon, with releases like the current Black Geyser - Couriers of Darkness, Baldur’s Gate 3 later this year or the indie apocalyptic RPG Broken Roads later on.
The Isometric RPG genre is one of my favorite genres. I played and replayed both Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 dozens of times I think. And Icewind Dale 1 and 2 a number of times as well.
It was however three games that rebooted the genre (or gave it a Renaissance): Wasteland 2, Divinity Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity
In this first part of a series of video's about Isometric RPG's I will focus on Wasteland 2.
Enjoy!
