Playing Blues Changes With The Pentatonic Scale | How To Target The Right Notes.
When you're playing over a blues you can of course just play the pentatonic scale. But to sound really melodic it's a good idea to play the notes of the chords you're playing over. Luckily you don't have to learn anything new, all the notes we need are in the pentatonic scale we already know.
In this video I'll show a phrase to help you really nail the changes in a turnaround of a blues the V going the IV to the I. I'll explain why it works so you can work out your own licks.
