Semantic layers used in traditional Business Intelligence technologies provide a governed and secure layer for access to enterprise data. Unfortunately these technologies restrict audiences to the BI technology and typically data in the warehouse. Digital transformation has seen Analytics technologies expand to include Data Visualization, Streaming Analytics, Data Science, and more. A Data Fabric that governs and provides easy access to all data and data types is needed. This demonstration shows how Genware Computer Systems implemented a semantic layer using TIBCO Data Virtualization.
