Fifty years ago, horrific creatures dubbed as the "Youtubers" suddenly appeared around the world. To combat these threats, videos gifted with supernatural quality called "Talents"—such as concise editing and objective critique—hone their powers on a website near a secluded island.
WhimsNum, however, is quite different from the others on the island: he has no Talent. With many "Talented" videos around him, WhimsNum is often a target for poor watch time, but even so, he still strives to complete his videos. Soon after, two upcoming videos, the mysterious Smash video and the soon-to-be-decided video, join the algorithm. But just as everyone starts blending as videos-on-line, mysterious takedowns begin to threaten the channel's entire foundation.
