Wasson Supporters March
On February 5th, 2013, supporters of Wasson High School conducted a demonstration march that originated at the high school and terminated at District 11 Headquarters nearly 3 miles away.
Wasson high school has been a fixture of the Colorado Springs community since 1959. But enrollment at the school has dropped in recent years, and as district 11 administrators think about how to best use the district's limited resources, talk has turned to closing Wasson.
