Shot a little over a month ago, this sequence was choreographed and shot all within a single day, its concept conceived purely for the opportunity to get a group of performers together and to shoot something stlyish.
It had been four months since I had last used my #SonyFX3 and was starting to feel that I hadnt fully justified its investment, so wanted to truly put the camera, the lenses, and for the first time, my gimbal through its paces out in the field (or wood🌲)
The result of that hard days work is here.
I can't thank this group of exceptional performers enough for giving up their time, energy and blood (that fed the midges that swarmed us) to come down and play.
It's no easy challenge choreographing and performering a one vs many fight in a short time frame, but everyone brought their ideas and creativity, and crucially their performances when it came to shooting.
Its easily been the most extensive VFX learning experience I've had on a sequence so far, and though things were never meant to be perfect, I'm happy I went through putting in the time and effort to build my experience.
