SMiShing is a type of phishing done by mobile phones. SMiShing is just as dangerous as phishing: learn to
recognize the signs.
SMiShing involves text messages sent to you in an attempt to get you to visit a link or send personal or confidential data to the sender. The text message may claim to be from your cell phone provider and request your payment information or may prompt you to click on a link and fill out a form to gain access to a prize. You should delete any unsolicited text messages; they are almost always attempting to gain personal or confidential data from you.
