Hey there, #PanFans!
Happy National Cooking Day!
I know, it seems like the calendar these days is stuffed to the gills with every kind of national day that can be dreamt up and oh boy A LOT of them are about things to eat. We saw so many days celebrating all the varieties of food to eat, but what we didn't see is a day celebrating the joy of making those foods. So back in 2016 we officially created National Cooking Day. For real! This one is 100% us. Sure you could consume a gourmet dish cooked at a five-star restaurant, but the true meaning behind National Cooking Day is about the special kind of nourishment you only get from cooking for yourself and loved ones.
In the spirit of this foodie holiday, I wanted to make a dish I once believed only the fanciest of restaurants could make—aka my all-time favorite dessert—crème brûlée. To start, All you need is the willingness to give this technique a try and a few tools to help along the way.I sincerely hope that you feel inspired to make your favorite fancy restaurant dish at home. Trust me, it will taste great and you can proudly say, “I made this!”
