Animated eclipse-style loading spinner - Fig in Five - Advanced prototyping

This is not your typical loading spinner. A lot of loading animations are gradient rings that spin or a status bar, but that's too easy. Today I'll be showing you how to animate a circular ring animating into view in a circular path and back out again. It sounds easy, but it turned out to be a challenging problem to solve. You would think the wonderful sweep feature of the ellipse tool would be the answer but you cannot animate a sweep in Figma (at least not yet). Let's get started.
